Á sýningunni Disappointing Sculpture hefur Kunstschlager tekið á sig mynd rýmis sem finna má á teikningu á sýningunni sjálfri. Teikningin er af ónefndum sýningarsal þar sem skúlptúr er við hlið plöntu, en sýningargestur heldur á úthendu og horfir álengdar á uppstillinguna. Það er engu líkara en að áhorfandinn sé hálf gáttaður á sýningunni. Á hinum teikningum sýningarinnar er hin nýja ásjóna Kunstschlager orðin að myndefni verkanna. Á einni er unnið að því að leggja parket, á annarri er sjónum beint að sambandi skúlptúrs og plöntu. Teikningarnar virðast lýsa tilurð sýningarinnar sem þær eru hluti af. Á sýningunni er því leitast við að afmá skilin milli hins ímyndaða veruleika listaverksins og hlutveruleikans umhverfis það. Um leið og myndefni teikninganna taka á sig hlutbundið form verður sýningargesturinn að áhorfanda á teikningunni. Disappointing Sculpture er samtal Arnars Ásgeirssonar og Heiðars Kára Rannverssonar. Hér velta þeir vöngum yfir konseptlist, skúlptúrforminu og vinsældum pottaplantna í myndlist samtímans. Á sýningunni eru teikningar eftir Arnar, parket, pottaplanta og texti eftir Heiðar Kára. Eins og titill sýningarinnar gefur til kynna er vakin upp tvíþætt spurning: Veldur skúlptúrinn áhorfandanum vonbrigðum, eða er það kannski áhorfandinn sem veldur skúlptúrforminu vonbrigðum?

In Disappointing Sculpture, Kunstschlager has assumed the image of a space pictured in a drawing included in the exhibition. The drawing shows an anonymous gallery space, where a sculpture is placed next to a plant. A guest holding a handout watches the arrangement at a distance. The viewer seems somewhat astonished by the exhibition. In other drawings, the new appearance of Kunstschlager has become the subject of the works. One portrays the act of laying a parquet floor, while another studies the relationship between a sculpture and a plant. The drawings seem to describe the process of the exhibition in which they are included. The exhibition therefore seeks to blur the boundaries between the imagined reality of art and the objective reality that surrounds it. The subject of the drawings materializes while the guest becomes the viewer portrayed in the drawing. Disappointing Sculpture is a dialogue between Arnar Ásgeirsson and Heiðar Kári Rannversson. Here they discuss conceptual art, sculpture and the popularity of houseplants in contemporary art. The exhibition consists of drawings by Arnar, a houseplant, parquet and text by Heiðar Kári. As the title suggests, a twofold question is evoked: Does the sculpture disappoint its viewer, or is the viewer disappointing the sculpture?
