A set where celebrities, lowlifes, degenerates, royalty and perverts come to relax and express themselves. A set in which a new feature film will be shot, the remnants becoming the cinema in which snippets of glamorous happenings can be encountered. Film screenings, performances, drawings, video broadcasts and bodies will inhabit the environment as it grows and collapses. The final piece… a film? A sculpture? A Drawing? All of the above and more…
Paul Kindersley is an artist, makeup enthusiast, pervert and video broadcaster. He is a long time collaborator with Marvin Gaye Chetwynd. His drawings have been exhibited widely, including in The Centre For Recent Drawing (London), Fruehsorge Contemporary Drawings (Berlin), Transition Gallery (London) and Simon Oldfield Gallery (London). Performances include ‘Extreme Dream, Makeover’ in Nottingham Contempory and ‘Albert Sketch for a Ballet’ at the ICA London and film screenings at The London Underground Film Festival and Burn at the Hackney Picturehouse. His latest projects included a feature length film entirely self shot over 4 days on location in Aldeburgh entitled ‘Sea Witch Rated’X’’ and a living sculpture involving 14 actors. Paul’s youtube channel, www.youtube.com/thebritisharecumming has had over 345,000 views and his work has been featured online in i-D, The Independant, Dazed and Confused, Rhizome, Fad, arty and Garageland magazines.
